Our client, a private family in Pasadena, is seeking a full-time nanny/family assistant to join the household. The primary responsibility of the nanny will be to care for 4 children (school-aged) and ensure their safety and well-being during weekday afternoons and early evenings, with occasional weekend availability as needed. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Provide attentive and compassionate care for the children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Drive the children to and from school, extracurricular activities, etc. as needed.
- Assist with homework assignments and ensure tasks are completed.
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks for the children as needed.
- Run household errands such as grocery shopping and other errands as requested by the principals.
- Maintain a clean and tidy environment for the children, including children's laundry, tidying up after meals and playtime.
- Organize and engage the children in stimulating activities, both indoors and outdoors.
- Maintain open and clear communication with parents and other household staff regarding children’s activities, behaviors, and development.
- Assist the principals with miscellaneous tasks and ad-hoc projects such as planning/setting up birthday parties.
- Travel with the family as needed (will be given notice in advance of the travel dates).
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a nanny or childcare provider, with excellent references.
- Experience with school-aged children, preferably.
- Experience supporting families with 3 or more children.
- Valid driver’s license + insurance, and clean driving record.
- CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Warm, nurturing, and patient demeanor with children.
- Flexibility to adjust schedule and work occasional weekends as needed.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be within a 30-minute drive from Pasadena.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 10:30am to 7:00pm. Flexibility to work weekends on occasion, with advance notice.
Pay: Up to $130,000/yearly + benefits, paid time off and holidays.
Location: Pasadena, CA. This is a fully onsite position.
