We are seeking a highly organized House Manager/Personal Assistant for our client, an UHNW family in Richmond, VA. This role encompasses general property and household management, housekeeping, personal assistant services, running errands, and light cooking/meal prep. This individual must be willing to travel to the Family’s farmhouse on occasion, which is an hour outside of Richmond, VA. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be passionate about transforming a house into a home. This individual will report to the Chief of Staff.
Responsibilities:
Compensation and benefits: up to $130K DOE, stipend towards medical benefits, 2 weeks PTO
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness at the house
- Proactive maintenance of the household by performing weekly walk-throughs and ensuring that cleaning and maintenance schedules are adhered to.
- Light housekeeping and tidying.
- Manage the scheduling and supervision of a cleaning crew and various contract workers as needed for routine and repair maintenance
- Organize and maintain closets, storage spaces, and home office
- Work to install seasonal and holiday decorating in a timely manner and put away in an organized and safe way
- Coordinate and facilitate events at the home by working closely with family and outside vendors to ensure everything goes smoothly.
- Maintain accounting for household checking, credit/debit cards, and petty cash
- Conduct, research and maintain records for projects, vendors, purchases, vehicles, and repairs
- Maintain a household manual for the residence with yearly schedules for all household maintenance items, vendor contracts, emergency numbers, etc.
- Create an inventory of all food items, household products, and order/purchase items as needed
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance, ensuring that vehicles are cleaned regularly, licensed, and repaired.
- Oversee all events hosted at the properties and project manage accordingly.
- Oversee the management of all technology purchasing, repairs, and maintenance related to the home, including:
- Phones and tablets/laptops needed
- Internet
- Cable
- Televisions (selection, purchase, installation, repairs)
- Flowerpots and terrace, immediate outdoor area.
- Laundry/clothing
- Provide wardrobe care and maintenance (cleaning and storing seasonal clothing, organizing camo, restocking basics like socks, ironing and proper care)
- Pack and unpack for all trips professional and personal

- Must have at least ten years’ experience working as a Personal Assistant for UHNW clients or EA experience, preferably both
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word and MS Outlook)
- Must have experience working in fast-paced environments where the utmost discretion and confidentiality are required
- Enjoy the role of a gatekeeper while maintaining professional relationships
- Possess the ability to work quickly without compromising quality
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Provide excellent, verifiable references
