A private family in Westchester, NY, is seeking an experienced and discreet Houseman to support the smooth operation and maintenance of their private residence. The ideal candidate will be highly professional, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional service in a luxury household setting.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience working in a luxury home or for UHNW families, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of household systems, maintenance, and the care of high-end finishes and materials
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; familiarity with the Westchester area is a plus
  • Basic handyman or trades skills for minor repairs and maintenance
Responsibilities:
  • Perform light repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting for household systems (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC) or coordinate with contractors for specialized work
  • Handle daily upkeep of the property, including cleaning outdoor spaces, windows, patios, and other high-use areas
  • Manage the upkeep of luxury finishes, artwork, and delicate furnishings with care and precision
  • Support housekeeping staff with heavy cleaning tasks such as moving furniture, deep cleaning, or seasonal organization
  • Maintain storage areas and inventories of supplies, tools, and equipment
  • Assist with outdoor maintenance tasks, including minor landscaping duties and overseeing vendors (e.g., gardeners, pool maintenance)
  • Perform vehicle care, including fueling, light cleaning, and scheduling maintenance
  • Set up for events or gatherings, including arranging furniture, decorations, and other preparations as required
  • Assist with guest services, such as luggage handling and ensuring the home is guest-ready at all times
  • Run errands, including deliveries, shopping, or picking up/drop-off items as needed
Schedule: Describing the schedule of the position, including hours per week, days of the week, starting time, and end of the day.

Compensation: Up to $150K, full benefits, PTO
