Director of Guest Experience & Hospitality / in Cody, Wyoming

JOB REFERENCE NUMBER: 2340

POSTED ON Feb 3, 2026Director BY POCKETBOOK AGENCY

A private, members-driven hospitality environment in Cody, Wyoming is seeking a highly polished, service-forward Director of Guest Experience & Hospitality to serve as the face of the club and set the tone for every member and guest interaction. This role is responsible for creating a refined, welcoming, and highly personalized member experience while leading daily operations through visibility and example. This is a front-facing, high-touch leadership role that requires emotional intelligence, polish, and an intuitive understanding of luxury service standards. Rather than managing from behind a desk, this individual will be deeply embedded in the day-to-day guest experience, building rapport with members and families, coaching staff in real time, and ensuring the environment consistently reflects professionalism, warmth, and ease.

This role is ideal for a hospitality leader who thrives on the floor, knows how to read a room, and believes exceptional service is built through presence, training, and relationships, not table turns or transactional management. The successful candidate will bring the confidence of a seasoned maitre d’, the warmth of a concierge, and the leadership instincts of a senior hospitality operator.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily hospitality operations across dining, events, and member-facing spaces
  • Partner closely with culinary leadership to ensure service execution aligns with food quality and presentation
  • Build and sustain a strong training culture focused on consistency, hospitality fundamentals, and refinement
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a service-oriented team across front-of-house and member-facing functions
  • Support programming, events, and gatherings that foster connection and community
  • Maintain alignment with ownership/leadership on vision, standards, and long-term goals
  • Serve as the primary, visible ambassador for the club, building genuine relationships with members, families, and guests
  • Lead by example on the floor daily - coaching, correcting, and reinforcing service standards in real time
  • Set the tone on the floor through presence, approachability, and professionalism
  • Handle member feedback and concerns with discretion, confidence, and care
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners as needed to support operations
  • Ensure service feels polished, personal, and never rushed or transactional
  • Maintain awareness of facilities, flow, and service timing to support a seamless guest experience
  • Balance warmth and authority - approachable but never casual, polished but never stuffy

Requirements: This role is best suited for someone who comes from high-end hospitality environments and is known for their ability to lead through presence. This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-autonomy hospitality leadership role where relationships, taste, and service excellence matter more than bureaucracy. It will appeal to someone ready to trade urban burnout for ownership, influence, and quality of life, without sacrificing standards or sophistication.

  • 8–12+ years in high-touch, luxury hospitality environments as a standout maitre d’, floor manager, or hospitality director, a senior leader in luxury restaurants, private clubs, or high-end hotels
  • A background that includes hands-on service (former server experience strongly valued)
  • Deep comfort working with discerning, high-net-worth clientele
  • Exceptional training instincts and a love for developing teams
  • The ability to balance professionalism with warmth and approachability
  • Confidence running a room without ego or rigidity

Compensation: Up to $120K based on experience, healthcare coverage, PTO, 401K
