Spanish-Speaking Weekend Nanny/Family Assistant / in New York , New York

A private family based in Greenwich Village is seeking an experienced, Spanish-speaking Weekend Nanny / Family Assistant to provide warm, attentive childcare and thoughtful household support. This role is ideal for a reliable, emotionally intelligent professional passionate about child development who also understands the nuances of working in a private home. The ideal candidate is nurturing yet structured, proactive yet discreet, someone who can confidently read the room, anticipate needs, and integrate seamlessly into the family’s rhythm. While the primary schedule will center around weekends, the family will guarantee a full 40-hour work week, though some weeks will require fewer than 40 hours of active work.

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, engaged, and loving care throughout the weekend, as well as some weekday coverage as required
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, including games, arts and crafts, reading, and outdoor play
• Encourage creativity, learning, and positive behavior in a nurturing and structured environment
• Ensure the children’s safety and well-being at all times
• Accompany the family on outings and activities as needed
• Prepare simple meals and snacks for the children
• Tidy and maintain children’s play areas, bedrooms, and shared spaces (including powder room resets)
• Organize toys, clothing, and children’s belongings
• Assist with light kitchen support and general weekend household upkeep
• Support packing/unpacking and logistics for travel 

Requirements: 

• Previous experience working as a nanny or childcare provider in a private household with children from toddler to school age
• Genuine passion for supporting children’s emotional, social, and developmental needs
• Highly reliable, responsible, and attentive to safety
• Professional, respectful, and discreet, with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• Flexible and adaptable, able to adjust to evolving schedules and family needs
• Ability to drive is a plus

Schedule: Saturday and Sunday with flexibility to cover date nights, etc., as needed

Compensation: Up to $45+/hour based on experience, healthcare coverage, PTO

Location: Greenwich Village, NYC, with flexibility for occasional travel
