Hands-on parents are seeking a reliable, caring, Full-Time Rotational Nanny to provide daytime care for their toddler. This is a long-term role built for someone passionate about early childhood development, committed to creating a nurturing environment, and ready to grow alongside a dynamic, multi-generational family. The ideal candidate brings experience with infants and toddlers, thrives in a team setting, and is prepared to travel and adapt to an evolving family schedule. This role reports to the Chief of Staff and is part of a staffed household with a collaborative nanny team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, high-quality daily care for a toddler and any future children
  • Follow the child's daily routine, including diaper changes, nap times, and playtime
  • Assist with meal prep and mealtimes
  • Engage in age-appropriate developmental activities including tummy time, sensory play, reading, and music
  • Ensure safety, comfort, safe sleep practices, and a clean environment at all times
  • Collaborate with parents to develop and adjust routines that support the toddler's early childhood development
  • Keep parents updated on the child's activities, mood, and notable changes
  • Drive the toddler to outings, appointments, and activities
  • Manage and replenish inventory of child-related supplies; perform light housekeeping tasks related to the child
  • Maintain a detailed log of child-related information for parents and nanny handovers
  • Travel with the family to ensure consistent care during trips; take responsibility for packing all child-related essentials

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a full-time nanny, specifically with infants and toddlers; ability to care for multiple children of different ages simultaneously
  • Experience working in a staffed home and/or as part of a nanny team
  • Knowledge of early childhood education and key developmental milestones
  • Degree or certification in Early Childhood Education, Infant Care, or Newborn Care Specialist designation strongly preferred; Montessori background a plus
  • Comfortable with an active lifestyle, engaging children in outdoor play, walks, and energetic activities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work well across a multi-generational family
  • Patient, warm, and deeply committed to the care of young children
  • Ability to handle flexible, extended shifts and collaborate effectively with co-nannies
  • CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification before start date
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel with the family
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive the child to appointments and activities
  • Comfortable around pets (family owns cats)

Location: Bay Area, CA. Relocation or fly-in-fly-out arrangement will be considered.

COMPENSATION: $65/hr based, with overtime paid on top. Minimum guaranteed annual compensation of $200,000. Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and a generous PTO program. Discretionary performance-based bonus.

Schedule: 15/15 rotational schedule with 12-hour daytime shifts. Shift times are subject to change and may require overtime. Nannies rotate through weekend coverage and travel assignments. Flexibility required to accommodate family travel, special occasions, and shifting operational needs.
